Description

The SAFER project aims to challenge gender roles and gender stereotypes, raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) and its effects, and ultimately, prevent GBV through the teaching of life skills (e.g. building healthy relationships, adopting and maintaining values) and by encouraging the reporting of such incidents.

This training workshop will focus on building educators’ knowledge around the use of gender sensitive pedagogies and enhancing their capacity to build a selection of key life skills required for the healthy development of their students.

All attendees of the SAFER workshop will receive a Certificate for Continuing Professional Development for their participation, in addition to advance access to a range of lesson plans and teaching resources which will be of assistance to primary school teachers across a range of subject areas.
