An Evening with Ireland's best independent media voices

The participants taking part in this event:

The two panel discussions will be hosted by a surprise special guest

Audience members will be invited to partake in a Q&A session at the end of each panel discussion.

Some topics up for debate:

A thorough examination of Irish elite structures and the influence they wield. Discussions will include looking at multi-national, academic, media, church and state elites and the effect their influence has on Irish sovereignty.

The corrosion of freedom of thought & expression and ways to rebuild conversations thru new media voices.

Conversation and debate about the immediate challenges ahead for Ireland as we face into an uncertain winter on number of fronts both at home and abroad. This will be a more philosophical and spiritual directed talk with emphasis on positive steps some of the speakers are taking in their own work and lives.

Our panels includes: journalists & new media writers, authors, podcasters and documentarians, spiritualists and an academic lecturer from one of our largest third level universities.

There may be one or two more surprise guests as well!!!

All participants have shown a willingness to swim against the tide when necessary in their particular fields over recent years and it promises to be an evening of robust chat and debate.

There will be a break between the two panel discussions where attendees and participants will be invited to join us for some refreshments and music before returning for the second panel discussion.

The Purpose:

The idea is to gather together a group of independent minded creatives and showcase the new and some old voices that are available in Ireland that produce thoughtful, nuanced content. Across a number of different fields. The themes are broad to allow free-flowing and organic conversations to develop. Each debate will allow for a number of audience questions at the end.
