Still Lives and Skin Deep - Sarah Winman

About this event

For those of us who have missed travelling, the story as told in ‘Still Live’, transports us back and forth between the magic and splendour of Florence and the gritty backdrop of a pub in East End London, ‘Still Live’ is full of magic, joy, art, and history and it offers us the opportunity to become immersed in the richness of the Florentine heritage in Sarah’s vivid descriptions of wine, food and glorious cast of characters.

Sarah Winman grew up in Essex and now lives in London. She attended the Weber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and went on to act in theatre, film, and television. Her first novel, ‘When God was a Rabbit’ was an international bestseller, her second ‘A Year of Marvellous Ways’ was a Sunday Times bestseller and ‘Tin Man’ was shortlisted for the Costa Novel award 2018.

Come and join us as Sarah engages in entertaining conversation with journalist, Sophie Grenham.
