Description

A talk by Michael Ryan

School avoidance is a frequent challenge for students with ASD and this talk will cover the reasons and the risks involved, along with strategies around supporting students who refuse to attend school and explore ways to deal with the situation. We look at what can be done by the students, the parents and the school to resolve the challenges.

Michael Ryan (MIACP) is a Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Author who works with children and teenagers in primary & secondary schools. He regularly contributes to media debate on these subjects and has spoken at regional and national conferences on topics related to Mental Health, Wellness, and Autism Spectrum Disorder/Asperger’s (ASD).
