About this event

Enrich your module curriculum with concepts of sustainability through the lens of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This workshop also supports the Sustainability strand of the UCC Connected Curriculum framework. Each 90-minute workshop will cover the following 4 sections, and this identical workshop will be offered on several dates:

• Commence with an overview of the SDGs and consider their broad scope and interconnected nature.

• Learn a technique to map one of your modules to the 17 SDGs. Consider how to frame existing module content that aligns with SDG and/or further contextualize your module.

• Participate in a transdisciplinary exercise to address a cross-cutting societal challenge (such as climate change, for example) which directly impact all SDGs.

• Participants will unpack the SDG toolkit and consider the potential implementation of the teaching resources in their educational context. Participants will have an opportunity to provide feedback on further toolkit development.

We hope participants will also accept our invitation to join a Community of Interest to exchange your knowledge and wisdom regarding best practices and common challenges.
