Seán and Roy's Climb for RMN
Event Information
About this event
Inspired by Charlie Bird's 'Climb with Charlie' event". We are organising a climb to the saddle of Slieve Foye in Carlingford for the benefit of Research Motor Neurone (RMN), a charity which is focused on supporting research to find solutions for making MND a manageable disease. Seán Woods and Roy Talyor have been battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for the last number of years. It has taken much from these two warriors, but not their determination to fight back. Sean and Roy's goal is to raise funds directly for Research Motor Neurone, a world-leading MND research group led by Prof. Orla Hardiman at Trinity College Dublin. The more funds we raise, the more MND warriors we can get onto new promising clinical trials here in Ireland. For the first time ever, there is now light in what was a very dark tunnel. With your help we can give hope to our fellow MND warriors across Ireland and worldwide. So let's climb together for Seán, Roy and over 400 families affected across Ireland to help defeat MND once and for all.
- Meet at 10 am at Carlingford Marina on Saturday, 2nd of April 2022
- Free shuttle bus to the starting point
