See Her Elected in 2024

With less than two years to go to the next local elections, our free online Foundation Workshops are designed to give you a solid base from which to move into campaign strategy. As always, our workshops are free and we run them on four consecutive days but at four different times to best fit in with your day to day life. When registering you can select the day/time that works best for you – and you can always swap around if something comes up at the last minute!

*UPDATE 1ST OCTOBER 2022. Our Monday 8pm group is full. There is still room to join the group that meets monthly on Tuesdays at 10am (starting Tuesday 4th October), Wednesday at 7am (starting Wednesday 5th October) and Thursdays at 1pm (starting Thursday 6th October).

See Her Elected is funded to support women to run in the local elections. But we are not limited our work to women who are thinking of being candidates. Just as important are the women who will get behind them as part of their campaign teams. So if you see yourself as belonging to any of the categories below, then please register and come along!

1. You could see yourself (maybe!) as a candidate in the 2024 local elections, but don’t know where to start.

2. You would like to know what might be involved before making your mind up.

3. You have made up your mind that you want to be a candidate but would like a practical toolkit covering everything you need to plan for.

4. You can never see yourself as a candidate but you would love to be involved in getting a woman in your area elected to the council.

5. You are interested in politics, would be fascinated to know the nuts and bolts of running for election, and who knows – might find yourself open to being a team member or being the candidate a few workshops in!

There are three workshops in this Foundation series.

Workshop 1: Week commencing 3rd October 2022. Articulating your Key Issues and Building your Profile.

Workshop 2: Week commencing 14th November 2022. Analysing your Local Electoral Area.

Workshop 3: Week commencing 13th December 2022. Party or Independent Candidate and your Campaign Team.

After completing the Foundation Workshops you will be invited to join the Strategy Workshops in January 2023 which cover the practicalities of your campaign, canvassing, communications and social media strategy.
