Sewing - Patchwork and Quilting (8-week course)

If you know your way around a sewing machine, can thread a needle and can sew a straight line but want to do more? This could be the course for you. A short course in practical sewing, using both machine and hand sewing, focused on patchwork and quilting.

Bring your own fabric and batting (I'll give you a list), and a machine if you have one, and I will provide the rest (and a machine if needed).

The class sizes will be small - 3-4 max - which will allow for a lot of individual attention, and a cosy atmosphere.

The course covers:

• Classic patchwork blocks
• Appliqué – machine/hand
• Building a quilt top
• Creating a quilt sandwich
• Different quilting methods
• Finishing - binding

Each booking date is the first of an eight-week course.

The next course runs from 12:00-13:30 on Saturdays on the following dates:

January 17, 24, 31

February 7, 14, 21, 28

March 7

There is free parking on site.

Price includes materials for the first week and booking site processing fee.
