Shawbrook are excited to bring to life an amazing and diverse program of performances for our Forest Festival with fortnightly performances by leading dancing artists & musicians.

Starved of live performances, this exciting series provides a wonderful opportunity for local and national audiences to feed heart and soul with unique performances by some of the best local and international dancers and musicians at our wonderful Forest Stage.

A sonically powerful music and dance performance.

Lucija Romanova, dancer/choreographer/artistic director, and Alex Paton musician/musical composer, formed a band duo under the name “Broken Hip and The Unbreakable Spirits”

This duo is a co-creation between Lucija and Alex. It is a mixture of different art forms - both music and dance. This performance is landscape of the experiences of being an artist - always on the road, the loneliness, the longing for a home, the injuries, the heartaches, the constant change and the freedom.

It's in the yearn and the rumble/tumble off the riffs where they find their dream home.

Is it just another dance performance?

Or a promo tour for their new album?

Perhaps it's a breath of fresh air or a sentiment for the past.

All naked and mindless

My ego is ripe now.

The Unbreakable Spirit,

What have you done now?

These hips that are broken

Don't let them surrender.

Make them cut more deep,

My voice - so tender.
