A seminar ‘Should I stay or should I go? Teacher Retirement Advice’ is taking place on Wednesday, 19th October 2016, 5pm, in the Clare Education Centre, presented by Darach Honan. Darach has been providing financial advice to teachers in the Clare/Limerick area for the past 3 years. He is trusted and respected by those who deal with him.

The seminar will cover the following main points:
- The Department of Public Expenditure & Reform has announced that the Grace Period has now been extended again to April 2019. Therefore, the period by which teachers can have pension and lump sum calculated on their pre pay-cut salary, has been extended.
- What will my take home be in retirement? Will I have enough money to meet my desired lifestyle in retirement?
- If I stay for another year, or 2, or 3 years what difference will that make to my pension?
