Following on from their successful collaboration in Kieran Quinn’s celebrated themed nights, James Nelson and Sinéad Conway have decided to join forces for a highly anticipated concert of popular songs and duets.

Kieran himself completes the line-up for what will be a superb evening of music in Corhownagh Church, outside Ballisodare on Sunday October 22nd.

From Broadway classics to powerful hymns, from crossover hits to original compositions, audiences can expect performances of the highest quality and variety throughout the evening.

James Nelson, a part-time columnist with the Sligo Weekender, and a BA.,B.Mus (Hons) graduate from UCD, is perhaps best known as one third of the international touring crossover group 'The Celtic Tenors'. Signed on the spot to an international record deal with EMI, later with Universal (Decca), the Celtic Tenors enjoy a busy touring schedule across the world from North America, to China, to Australia, to mainland Europe, recording 12 albums along the way. Before joining the Celtic Tenors, James toured extensively as a leading soloist in opera and oratorio worldwide. James is also an active participant with the Sligo-based charity Kenya Build.

Sinéad Conway has been a full time professional singer for over fifteen years. Having trained under the renowned Veronica Dunne Sinéad decided to take her vocal studies to the next level by completing an Honours Degree in Classical Music Performance at The Conservatory of Music in Dublin’s DIT under the guidance of Jennifer Hamilton. While she is classically trained Sinéad loves to sing in all different styles which has led to her performances in such diverse settings as The X Factor UK, The Dublin Gospel Choir and The HotHouse Big Band to name but a few.
