Ensemble Music are proud to present soprano and composer Síobhra Quinlan’s debut concert with her newly formed chamber ensemble the SFiiiNX Sinfonia in The Fumbally Stables on Thursday 30th March.
Following the recent release of “From His Rib”, this will be the first performance of a new suite of works that Siobhra has composed and recorded with the SFiiiNX Sinfonia – a diverse collective of musicians from many backgrounds including classical, contemporary and indie groups such as Trinity Orchestra, Kirkos Ensemble, and Spies – ahead of a full album release later this year.
The project combines art song, classical and contemporary idioms and elements of popular music to create a modern vocal chamber music sound that is new and at once recognisable at the same time. Otherworldly, eerie melodies are woven throughout the accompaniment, but at it’s core this music is brazenly human.
Having previously worked as a soloist with Kirkos Ensemble, Trinity Orchestra, Téada Orchestra, ICC, and her own latin music group Encanto, Síobhra has always taken a unique musical path and her projects are consistently worth exploring. We hope you’ll join us.
