Skin Cancer Prevention Seminar

We are delighted to welcome Adjunct Associate Professor Craig Sinclair from Cancer Council Victoria, Australia
to present at a seminar on Tuesday 22nd May at the Irish Cancer Society.
Craig will share key learnings on skin cancer prevention work in Australia which was the first country in the world to show an improvement in skin cancer rates.

Craig Sinclair is the Director of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Collaborative Centre for UV Radiation and Head of Cancer Prevention at the Cancer Council Victoria, Australia. At the Cancer Council Victoria, Craig is responsible for the development and delivery of population-wide cancer prevention and screening programs. He has also an adjunct appointment as Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology.

He is the chair of the Public Health committee for Australia’s peak cancer charity, Cancer Council Australia and chair of the World Meteorological Organisation’s UV Scientific Advisory Group. He is an author of over 30 publications including the recent World Health Organisation publication; Artificial Tanning Devices – Public Health Interventions to Manage Sunbeds.
