Join us on Saturday 1st July 2017 for the 4th Annual Sligo Camino!
Trek 34km from Dromahair, Co. Leitrim to Coolaney, Co. Sligo along the beautiful Sligo Way.
Fee: €35 (excl. booking fee) includes bus transport from Coolaney, drinks / fruit en route, hot dinner at finish.
Route includes tarred byroads, gravel paths, boggy hillside, timber boardwalks, forest tracks, grassy trails and stone slabs.
The Sligo Camino™ is organised entirely by the volunteers of Coolaney Development Company, Co. Sligo with the support of Coillte and Sligo Walks. Proceeds go towards Café Fia the community café in Coolaney.
What time to I need to be in Coolaney for?
You are booking a ticket for the 7.15am walk. You should register in the Community Centre on Main Steet between 6.15am and 7.00am. Registration will close at 7.00am and the last bus will depart for Dromahair at 7.15am sharp to begin the trek.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample parking in Coolaney, both in the Community Park and Mill Centre just off the main street.
Can I join the walk in Dromahair?
No. We need to be sure you've registered for the walk, give you your Camino passport and safety briefing before departure. We accept no responsibility for ticket holders who do not register with us in Coolaney.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, bring your printed ticket with your name on it to registration in Coolaney Community Centre between 6.15am and 7.00am on the morning of Sat 1st. We will check your name off and give you a Camino Passport which will be your ticket for the bus.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Tickets are non-transferable. The organisers send an important update to all registered walkers the week before the walk and require accurate contact information in the event of an emergency. Please do not purchase a ticket until you are certain that you will take part.
What is the refund policy?
Please note that registration fees are non-refundable except in the case of the event being cancelled. The Camino will take place in all weather.
