The Dyslexia Association of Ireland (DAI) is organising an Information Day for parents on dyslexia on Saturday, 12 November 2016 at the Sligo Park Hotel.
Topics covered will include:
- What is Dyslexia?
- Support Strategies – What Parents Can Do
- Assistive Technology
There will also be a session on specific supports at primary level and secondary level.
The information day aims to:
- Give parents an overview of dyslexia in the context of the Irish education system
- Provide parents with the key information they need to act as advocates on behalf of their children
- Equip parents with some practical strategies they can implement themselves to help their children
