Small Things Like These - Claire Keegan with Rick O'Shea

Lauded as one of the finest novels of the year, come and meet Claire Keegan as she chats to Rick O’Shea about her most recent short novel, ‘Small Things Like These’. Clare will discuss the novel, the places, and the characters she involves in the story as it progresses.

Claire Keegan’s stories have been translated into twenty-five languages and published in the New Yorker, Granta, Best American Stories, and the Paris Review. Her debut, ‘Antarctica’, won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and was a Los Angeles Times Book of the Year. ‘Walk the Blue Fields’ won the Edge Hill Prize for the strongest collection published that year in the British Isles. Foster won the Davy Byrnes Award, then the world’s richest prize for a short story, and was recently named by the Sunday Times as one of the top fifty works of fiction published in the twenty-first century.
