EXPERIENCE IRELAND’S LAST SUNSET OF 2017
This New Year’s, Smithwick’s Irish Ale has created an alternative celebration for those looking to escape the conventional New Year’s night out in the city in favour of a more laid back experience on the stunning Achill Island.
Smithwick’s 10° West will take place over 31 December and 1 January and is gearing up to be a New Year’s experience like no other with a range of both daytime activities and evening entertainment on the agenda.
BY DAY: Nature yoga sessions, breathtaking greenway cycles and hikes through some of the most unexplored countryside in Ireland, hosted by Pure Magic.
BY NIGHT: The island will serve as the backdrop for a boutique music festival, curated by Homebeat, with the main celebration in the Keel tent that will feature live performances from Daithi, Stomptown Brass, Lumo & Talos alongside acoustic and pop-up music sessions in some of Achill’s favourite ‘locals’ – complete with a chilled pint of Smithwick’s for good measure.
Tickets are priced €45.00 which includes two daytime activities, access to the Keel tent and a complimentary pint of Smithwick’s. Price is inclusive of booking fee and are sale now.

Can anyone attend?
Smithwick’s 10° West is a ticketed event for over 18s only. Tickets are available via Eventbrite only.
Is ‘Smithwick’s 10° West’ weather dependent?
All outdoor activities will go ahead unless doing so might place attendees or instructors in danger. All other activities will take place indoors and will not therefore be weather dependent.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are priced €45.00 and include:
- An activity a day on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, which includes a place on a yoga session, an accompanied breathtaking greenway cycle, or an accompanied hike through some of the most unexplored
countryside in Ireland
- Access to the Smithwick’s 10° West tent located behind the Annexe
- 2 complimentary pints of Smithwick’s

Will I need ID?
Please bring ID with you as you may be asked to prove your age with photo ID or you will be refused admission. Only original passports, Garda age card or driver’s licence will be accepted.
Do you have disabled access?
Yes, simply purchase a standard ticket and contact niki.kelly@ogilvy.com for disabled access.
Is accommodation included?
No, accommodation is not provided. A list of suggested accommodation options, B&Bs, holiday homes, guesthouses and hotels can be found on Smithwicks.com or via Achill Tourism.
Can I bring my tent, campervan, or caravan?
There are several campsites on Achill Island, but please check in advance that they will be open. If you are planning to stay in a tent, campervan or caravan – remember to wrap up!
Can I bring alcohol with me?
The daytime activities and evening entertainment take place in pub venues. As with any bar, you are not permitted to bring your own alcohol onto the premises.
