Social Acceptance of Wind Energy Projects
Event Information
Description
This seminar is being organised jointly by SEAI and IEA Wind Task 25 “Social Acceptance of Wind Energy Projects”, to bring international and Irish experts, participating in this research collaboration, before an Irish audience. The coordination of this research collaboration has recently been taken over by an Irish operating agent, Garry Keegan, representing a landmark in Ireland’s engagement in the IEA Wind R,D&D Technology Collaboration Platform. The series of presentations from international and Irish speakers will provide delegates with insights of the leading research on practices that contribute to enhancing acceptance of projects. The adoption of best practices may sustain a societal mandate for planned increases in the contribution of wind energy to electricity supply.
**Note: This seminar is being held concurrently with, and at the same venue as, the annual Irish Wind Energy Conference but is a distinct separate SEAI event. Registration as a delegate for the wind energy conference is not required to attend the seminar.
