Data, and the insights data analytics can provide, is one of today's most valuable assets. Keeping data secure is therefore critical to most businesses. Many emerging companies are also under pressure to become compliant with data protection laws and regulations to secure important clients or gain the next investment.
We are delighted to host two speakers who will help us understand the importance of data protection laws and information security and how to comply with the changing legal landscape in this area.
EuroComply is data protection compliance software (SaaS) that helps companies assess, track and demonstrate compliance with the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). EuroComply takes an accountability-based approach to compliance. Its offerings include gap-analysis, training, reporting/audit trails as well as analytics and benchmarking capabilities.
Our second speaker, Mark Adair, from leading law Irish firm Mason Hayes and Curran, will discuss the changing legal landscape in the area of data protection and where the law is heading for technology companies in the next few years.
Mark advises both Irish and international clients on a range of complex technology contracts. He has a particular focus on the areas of software, cloud computing, data protection and fintech. Mark is recognised as a thought leader in the Irish technology law sector and has recently authored a number of articles for Irish and UK technology publications and presented at national industry conferences.
At the end of both talks we will have an interactive Q&A session with Emerald and Mark.
Entry is open to all, whether you work in the technology or legal sector. The number of tickets is strictly limited to 60.
