Event description

Description

The Football Weekly team - the world's most popular football OG podcast return to Dublin for a live show with host Max Rushden & an A-List panel of Mystery Guest, Lars Sivertsen, Barry Glendenning & Producer Jonathan ready for an evening of puns, punditry and eh, what else could there be to discuss?! The last show was a sell-out smash so make sure to pick up tickets as a Christmas present to yourself or that football loving person in your life. Not only that, you could also win your height in football books. With thanks to support from our friends at O'Hara's Irish Craft Beers.

MAX RUSHDEN

Max is into his second season at the helm of Football Weekly, following a summer of Nando's, hopes, dreams and spending a lot of time with Barry. Cycles a lot more than you would expect famous people to.

BARRY GLENDENNING

Barry is the Guardian's deputy sports editor, the pod's fitba water carrier and Max's long-term collaborator. Barry's been filled with pride recently, as Ma Glendenning's sunflower placed first at the Birr County Fair.

PAOLO BANDINI

As a patch of light Paolo is the Guardian's Italian football expert, but with Serie A mostly done and dusted before Christmas, the real tension this season will be in whether Paolo has a haircut before his alice band gets its stage debut.

LARS SIVERTSEN

Lars Sivertsen is the most Irish-sounding Norwegian on the planet, and a brain full of the kind of football knowledge no one else has the time or capacity for. He lives in London with an absolutely enormous dog and has recently converted his shed into a freelancer's haven.

THE REDUCER PODCAST

Every week, Reducer hosts Gavin Cooney and Seamas O'Reilly are joined by guests to smugly take apart a piece of football culture in spite of no evidence that they could produce anything better. Their incisive takes on everything from the novels of Steve Bruce, the wisdom of Tim Lovejoy and the tawdry cinematic atrocity that is FIFA's United Passions have earned them plaudits and chapeau from those on the terraces and the chattering classes alike. Prepare for them to defenestrate the FIFA opus tonight in the company of Emmet Kirwan.

LIBERTY HALL

It's a fully seated venue, a fully stocked bar and a fully staffed Football Weekly and it's ....liiiive !!!

Please note that Liberty Hall is a cash-only venue.
