About this event
The world's most colourful saxophone quartet, the Amstel Quartet (from the Netherlands) is joined by Latvian organist Una Cintiņa.
Their programme centres on a large new work, Songlessness, by Ukrainian composer Maxim Shalygin. Songlessness focuses on a combination of Wagner's idea of an endless melody as well as the creation of the poly-temporal development of the material: a journey with the aim of infinite melody, continuous time and expansion of time-space.
