About this event
Meeting point is Barnardo Square across from the Olympia Theatre. Use Dublin Bus 46A from UCD Belfield and jump off at Westmoreland Street, stop 320 then walk to the meeting point. Tour starts at 1pm be on time.
Tour description: Come see the main sights of Dublin City and get acquainted with your new surroundings. The tour we will discuss the history of the city from its Viking origins in 841AD, to the English invasion and the Irish struggle for independence.
On the tour we will see the main attractions such as Dublin Castle, Christchurch, Temple Bar, the Grafton Street Quarter, finishing at Trinity College and the Book of Kells. We will discuss the history of the city in a fun and relaxed manner as well as things like Irish music, Whiskey and Guinness, literature and the Irish language.
This tour will give you a great overview of the city both geographically and historically while you will get loads of recommendations for things to see and do to maximise your Irish experience.
