Event description
Special Screening of Academy-Award Nominated Animation "Song of the Sea"

About this Event

As part of the Irish Film Festival, the Embassy of Ireland and The Puttnam School of Film and Animation , LASALLE College of the Arts, are delighted to invite animation enthusiasts to a very special screening of Cartoon Saloon's masterpiece "Song of the Sea".

Academy award-nominated Song of the Sea tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal-child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. The film takes inspiration from the mythological Selkies of Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become humans on land.

The screening will take place in F208 (Film Screening Room)
