On Thursday, June 15th, Spirit World Rising, a recent collaboration between six musicians based in Cork City will be bringing their show to Kinsale
Renowned piper Brian Leach leads the ensemble on pipes and dulcimer fresh from touring the US and UK with Lisa O’Neill. Jim Christie (the Bonk, Elaine Malone, Nudy Boy Nature) and Tomás O’Brien of metal heavyweights Coroza, anchor and drive the machine on drums and bass.
Glitching and gliding guitars are provided by Sam Cullen, who just released the brilliant album ‘448’ as ‘Inchworm’ and Andy Wilson, who also plays electric musical saw. Add the signal noise pedal wizardry of Flywheel’s guitar guy Kieran Curtin and you have a sound you’ll never really have quite heard before.
Having performed to a packed and rapturous room in Cork City earlier this year, we are privileged to receive Spirit World Rising relatively unseen and unheard in what will be only their second ever performance together.
