Spirituality and the Earth through Joanna Macy 's THE WORK THAT RECONNECTS
Event Information
About this event
As a One Spirit Interfaith minister, Rev Jane Killingbeck MA has drawn from all her life experience and ongoing explorations and practice, to work with people from many backgrounds and beliefs to create beautiful individual ceremonies that are meaningful and sacred – including legally-binding weddings - to celebrate and honour the important moments which shape our lives and to provide opportunities for people to deepen their sense of loving connection with themselves, with one another, with life, and with this beautiful world of which we are so integral a part. These rituals and ceremonies not only celebrate the fullness of life but also the surrender into transitions, sometimes joy filled, sometimes painful, but all so integral to life as a human being, here on this magical earth. Jane also holds One Spirit Interfaith ceremonies in her local town of Bandon, County Cork. These gatherings are offered as an opportunity for those of all traditions and none to come together to share time in devotional readings and in reflection.
Her services include One Spirit Community Ceremonies, Meditation Weekends, Deep Ecology Workshops, Spiritual Accompaniment.
The "Work That Reconnects” from which Jane will draw on for this event are experiential workshops, based on a spiral, beginning with Gratitude , moving through exercises which enable us to engage with our inner responses to the grievous state of our world and in so doing transform those feelings into loving action, to 'see with new eyes' reconnected to each other and to the Earth and to the Divine, and able to go forth to work towards the healing of humanity that is a necessary prelude to the restoration of beauty health and life to the earth. These workshops are generally held over a few hours, a day or a weekend. Jane will be holding a one day workshop, probably a Council of all Beings later this summer on Sunday July 17th at An Sanctoir near Ballydehob in West Cork if anyone would like to dive more deeply into the work.
