Mayo Male Voice Choir

Established in 2000, this popular choir has grown from strength to strength with 53 members from all parts of Mayo. Under the direction of Deirdre Lee since it's inception, the choir is currently planning their 20th anniversary celebrations for 2020, which will include a major concert and performances in New York. In 2018 the choir sang at the Titanic Centre, Belfast and won 2nd place (Male Voice) in the Bangor International Choral Festival. The choir was first (Male Voice) in the 2018 and 2016 Mayo International Choral Festival and in the 2015 Kiltimagh Choral Festival, and has won prizes at Sligo International Choral Festival. It has performed all over Ireland, the UK, Germany and Prague and has hosted many concerts. Accompanist is Rebecca Cresham.

St Mary's Hall

The concert takes place in the acoustically rich St Mary's Hall, built at the turn of the last century with all the fine architectural features still in place. The cut-stone and wooden floor hall was the assembly and dining area for patients of the mental health hospital, now fully restored, and the entire building a well established third-level College.
