Ríona is a PhD researcher in NUIG, who is taking a ‘One Health’ approach to studying the disease ecology, epidemiology, and awareness of Lyme disease in Ireland. She is passionate about highlighting the parallels

between promoting human health and the protection of natural habitats. In her talk, Ríona will cover the ‘One Health’ approach to human health and environmental protection, and will then go on to outline her own research on Lyme disease in Ireland.
