Event Details

To celebrate St. James Day, the feast day of the saint of which the Camino de Santiago was named, we’re hosting an extra special training morning in the Dublin Mountains!

We’re meeting at the main car park at Marlay Park at 10:00am for some light stretching and a brief introduction to the Camino de Santiago.

From here, we’ll walk 10KM of the famous Wicklow Way, all the way to Johnnie Fox’s pub - famed as “the highest pub in all of Ireland” - for some optional lunch, socialising and sharing tips and stories about the Camino de Santiago.

This trail boasts some fantastic scenery and natural beauty, as you walk through pine forests, heather and bilberry, before seeing some of the most spectacular views over Dublin city.

PACKING LIST

  • Comfortable walking or hiking shoes
  • Plenty of water
  • Sunscreen

Organiser

Follow the Camino

Follow the Camino organises walking and cycling holidays in Europe for adventure seekers from all over the world. Since 2006, we’ve offered a great range of manageable walks and cycles for all age groups, in particular on the famous Camino de Santiago. We were the first ever tour operator to operate the Camino de Santiago by creating manageable sections along the main routes to Santiago de Compostela. We are often copied but never equalled!
