Athlone Little Theatre is delighted to announce its next production which is a staged reading of An Gorta Mór Bis, a recently written epic poem based on the Famine.
The work is by 4th generation Irish American Thomas Milan, a retired NATO Official living in Paris. Inspired by stories handed down by his forebears, Milan has spent many years researching the subject which has culminated in a theatrical reading of the work and will have its world premiere at the Little Theatre.
A moving and poignant look at one of the darkest events in our history, the piece serves to remind us of the human cost of political oppression which is still evident in the world today.
