Directed by Charlotte McIvor and Catherine Morris and devised by the ensemble with dramaturgical support by Barry Houlihan, James Hardiman Library.

Students working in performance, creative writing and drama will share new work they have written and devised in response to Thomas Kilroy’s extraordinary archives housed at NUI Galway. By engaging with the archive of one of Ireland’s most political and visionary playwrights and theatre theorists whose work bridges the 20th and 21st centuries, this collectively-created performance will not only make manifest the scale of Kilroy’s body of work but bring it to life as a catalyst for yet-to-be imagined creative (and political) horizons.

Charlotte McIvor is a contemporary performance scholar and creative arts practitioner whose practice centralises collaborative co-creation with student ensembles through her position as a Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at NUI Galway. Catherine Morris is a creative arts practitioner and Fellow at the O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance at NUI Galway.
