#StandStrong Against Domestic Abuse

Join us on the 6th February, on Bray Seafront to #StandStrong for a special 45 minute yoga class with Yin Yoga Jen, where we will begin with the Yoga Warrior Pose (a symbol of focus, confidence and courage) to show your support and solidarity with women subjected to domestic abuse. All attendees will go home with a limited edition G+C x StandStrong Beanie and 100% of funds raised will go directly to Women's Aid.

Established by Allianz Insurance and Women’s Aid and taking place on the 6th of February, the new bank holiday, the #StandStrong movement aims to raise €2.4 million over the next three years to help the work of Women’s Aid – the equivalent of €1 for every woman in Ireland.

Domestic abuse is a complex issue, which takes many forms and affects 1 in 4 women in Ireland, from all backgrounds and ages. Despite often being viewed as helpless or weak, they’re resilient, resourceful and powerful – The World’s Strongest Women, in fact.

Hosted by a very special guest, we’ll meet at 11am opposite Catalyst Coffee on Bray Seafront (you won’t be able to miss us!). Registration in advance is essential as spaces are limited. 100% of all funds raised will go to Women’s Aid to help them support women and children subjected to abuse across the country. Our suggested ticket price is €25, but to make this event more accessible we have left tickets as an open donation.

If you can’t attend the main event you can still do the Yoga Warrior Pose to show your support and solidarity with women subjected to domestic abuse at a location that suits you and donate here. Remember to share a photo online using the hashtag #StandStrong. We want to flood social media with Warrior Pose images and show those impacted that the nation is standing in support of them while also raising much needed funds for Women’s Aid.

• This outdoor event will happen rain or shine, so please wrap up warm.
• Please bring your own yoga mat, as there will only be a limited amount to borrow on the day.
• Please bring your own water on the day.
