Aideen Sheehan from the Institute of Public Health outlines some key lessons from Irish and international research on what works to help us enjoy our later years – how physical activity boosts our immune system, our happiness and our health, and how fostering social connection may actually prevent premature frailty. She also shows how getting creative through activities like dance and singing can enhance our physical and mental wellbeing.
