A 4 week Stength & Balance Outdoor Programme taking place in Cabinteely Park each Wednesday from the 4th -25th August.

About this event

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown are delighted to partner up with Siel Bleu to roll out this 4 week Strength & Balance classes for adults over the age of 55 years.

These classes will take place each Wednesday @ 10.30am from the 4th -25th August outdoors in Cabinteely Park. The cost is subsidised at €10 for all 4 classes. This class is designed to help people build strength in areas to improve balance issues. Using a wide range of functional exercises we will aim to teach people how to exercise at their own level and finding the balance of a safe and effective exercise.

How will it work?

Once registered through Eventbrite you will be emailed the exact location and all the details you will need to attend. All Covid 19 regulations and protocols will be followed to ensure everyone's safety. Michael will be your instructor and he will guide you through a series of strengthening exercises that is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

What are the benefits?

There are plenty of benefits from exercising. For starters, it’s an easy way of improving your physical health and mental well-being. Exercising regularly can be a great stress reliever and has even been shown to help combat depression.

This programme will help improve your strength and balance over the 4 weeks increasing your confidence and independence.
