About this event

Stress Relief Techniques for Balance, Feeling Good and Mental Health

with Tanja Thomas

In this workshop participants will learn practical techniques to release stress, become more relaxed long-term and help themselves during times of challenge.

While juggling work and home life, when encountering stressful situations especially during these times, life can be a rollercoaster. Therefore applying helpful but effortless techniques from the practices of Yoga and Mindfulness that are easily integrated into our routine, can make all the difference to our wellbeing. The practices and techniques delivered in this workshop are accessible for everyone and can be used as part of a regular self-care routine or when dealing with an ‘in the moment’ stress trigger. The workshop is taught in a very practical way using different mindfulness, breathing, movement and relaxation techniques.

The aim of this workshop is to share practices and techniques that childcare providers will feel empowered to use and to build a useful toolkit for stressful or challenging situations. When applied on a regular basis, these practices support overall wellbeing, better mental health, better sleep and feeling more energetic and refreshed, as well as relaxed, centred and grounded.

Requirements:

A comfortable space where participants have room to move, some pillows, a blanket, non-slip surface if available, choice to sit on the floor with pillows and/or a chair.

Recommended but not necessary to have the camera on during the workshop.

This workshop will be delivered by Zoom.
