Event description
Teiripe Sarlaoch proudly hosts this exciting 2 day Superhero Therapy Training with Dr Janina Scarlet

About this Event

Superhero Therapy

For the 1st time in Ireland, this 2 day training event will provide an introduction to, and didactic and experiential training in, Superhero Therapy. Over the course of the 2 days, delegates will learn about the principles of this approach, how it is aligned with the evidence based principles of the frameworks of CBT, DBT, ACT, and more. Other areas of "geek" therapy will also be explored, such as gaming therapy, guiding therapists in how to utilise such interests and technologies into therapy, both in the clinic setting and as homework.

Superhero Therapy incorporates the vivid and deeply-connecting themes and characters in fantasy and science fiction, along with other elements of pop culture, providing a therapeutic approach that can be all the more individualised and profoundly engaging. This approach has been successfully used for children, adolescents, and adults.
