This webinar will look at how staff, coaches and volunteers in sporting organisations can support Autistic Athletes.

The Autistic community can have many passionate interests, with exercise and sports playing an important role in many Autistic lives. Ensuring that sport and physical activities are inclusive for Autistic people is important. This webinar will look at how those involved in the running of sports, such as staff, volunteers and coaches, can better support Autistic athletes.


This webinar will be run by one of AsIAm's Training Officers who also has extensive experience of coaching in sport. The content of the session will include;

What Autism Is?

Strengths and Differences of Autistic Athletes

Supporting the environment, both in the gym and outdoors

The importance of proper planning for training, events and trips

How to better communicate with and provide instructions to athletes

Understanding Autistic social interaction etiquette

Tips for coping with stress and anxiety


The session will be 60 mins long with time for questions and answers.

The session will be held on Zoom, will be recorded and made available to anyone who purchases a ticket.
