Join us for our June webinar on the hatchery stage of seaweed production. We will be exploring the endless opportunities of the hatchery stage, touching on strain selection, the best practise guide to setting up a hatchery, to the implications of pathogens at hatchery stage. We are bringing the best of academia, industry and research to you.
Dr. Agnes Mols Mortensen will discuss how she started her seaweed journey by building her seaweed hatchery. Agnes will give an overview on her hatchery in terms of set up and operations, and best practices for seeding.
Antoine Fort will discuss strain selection in seaweed for increased yields, with a focus on Ulva, and important factors when selecting your seaweed strain.
Martina Strittmatter will give a brief overview on seaweed pathogens that are problematic in Asian countries and how that may transcend to the NPA region. She will also discuss two interesting seaweed projects which are aim to at increase current knowledge on seaweed pathogens worldwide.
