Sweet Dreams - an evening of restful yoga and live cello
Event Information
About this event
Come and experience a nourishing evening of music and meditative Yoga to create ease and space in body, heart and mind - held by Claire Osborne and Lea Miklody in the peaceful setting of An Sanctoir, Ballydehob.
Centring and grounding breathwork (Pranayama) will begin our time together, followed by Restorative Yoga; gentle, comfy stretches supported by bolsters and cushions that soften and release deeply held tension. The later part of the evening will be a long Yoga Nidra: guided meditative rest known as ‘the meditative heart of yoga’.
Claire’s soothing voice and Lea’s beautiful music will guide you on an inner journey through the breath, body and visualisation, supporting you to soften your heart and drop deeply into peaceful rest.
Some of the potential benefits of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra:
- release anxiety and restlessness
- support sleep
- balance the nervous system
- ease stress
- calm your mind
- settle emotions
- feel safe, held and supported
- and replenish depleted energy

Born in Hungary, based in West Cork, Ireland, the music of Lea M. is rooted in improvisation and inspired by nature. With cello, voice, and loop station she creates experimental and ambient instrumental soundscapes that bring listeners to a quiet space of inner journey and connection. Layer upon layer of bowed, plucked, and even strummed cello loops weave seamlessly, ebbing and flowing from near-symphonic force to delicate stillness, only to be further enhanced by Lea's evocative singing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNLP7-8BJoQ
An Sanctoir is West Cork’s very own Holistic Community Centre and is home to a variety of weekly classes, weekend workshops, performances, rituals and celebrations. It is a beautiful light filled octagonal practice space with wooden floors and underfloor heating, set within a 30 acre nature reserve, just outside the coastal village of Ballydehob.
