About this event
Beginning as a generic practice, TA encompasses four fields of application: counselling, education, organisations, and psychotherapy. In this webinar, Chitra Ravi and Keith Tudor will discuss how we might consider TA as a way of being that extends beyond these four fields, and on what basis we might do – or, rather, be and live – this.
Chitra Ravi, BSc, Master of Psychology, TSTA (Psychotherapy), lives in Bangalore, India where she facilitates transactional analysis psychotherapy training and individual/group supervision. She believes that her humility and willingness to learn from others is crucial for any of the roles that she holds. Her working philosophy influences her style. She believes in mutual respect and that her role is to offer the setting for facilitating clients/supervisees/participants to think and arrive at possibilities. She brings with her a way of “tuning in” and being present to herself, the other and the context with which she’s working. Chitra is currently the president of the International TA Association.
Keith Tudor, PhD, CTA(P), TSTA(P) is professor of psychotherapy at Auckland University of Technology, Aotearoa New Zealand. He has been involved in TA for over 35 years and is the author of over 75 publications on TA, including four books. in 2020, with Graeme Summers, he was the co-recipient of the Eric Berne Memorial Award for their work on co-creative TA and transactional design. He is currently co-president of the Aotearoa New Zealand TA Association.
