Description
Dress for Success Dublin is designating 10th November 2017 as Equal Pay Day.
Join us for a panel discussion exploring the factors contributing to the gender pay gap and the measures that can be taken to address it.
In Ireland, the current gender pay gap is approximately 14 per cent. This means women in Ireland effectively stop earning for the year – relative to men – during the month of November. Another way of looking at this is that women work for free for about the last seven weeks of each year.
Our public panel discussion will be hosted by our founder: designer and tech entrpreneur Sonya Lennon. Sonya will be joined by a number of special guests, including:
- Senator Ivana Bacik;
- Jewellery designer and businesswoman Chupi; and
- Youth mental health advocate Jamie Harrington.
This event is open to anyone who wants to come along. Admission is free, but advance registration is required. Places are limited and will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.
This public panel discussion is taking place as part of our month-long Equal Pay campaign. Further information is available here.
