This workshop will focus on how to talk about your research in non-academic settings and how to pitch your work to the media. We have four speakers lined up to talk about language, press releases and pitching your work to the media or online.
Elaine Byrnes will talk about how she speaks about her research in the media. John Caulfield will detail how to write a press release and the importance of a strong publicity photo. Mary McGill will discuss how to engage with the media and get your work noticed. Eilís Ní Dhúill will talk about the Thesis Talk blog - an opportunity to share your expereinces and practice your writing.
The workshop will start with coffee at 10am & give you a chance to talk with other researchers.
