The BEGINNERS course is designed to build upon what you learn each week. Ideal for complete beginners or those who have learned a few steps but lack comprehensive technique. Learn the fundamentals of tap technique, basic steps, fun combinations and a dance routine!
IMPROVERS class is intended for students who have already taken one or two Beginners Courses with me in the past year, or for tap dancers looking to brush up their skills after a long break from dancing. We will keep learning new steps and combinations beyond what you already know!
INTERMEDIATE class (Walkinstown only) is geared towards students who have taken 3 or more of my Beginners courses, or have ample previous tap experience. Students should be confident with the basic steps and technique, and learn combinations quickly. This class will feature trickier combinations, some rhythm-building and improv, and move at a faster pace than Beginners!
The ADVANCED class is for experienced tappers! Fast-paced, with more complicated rhythms, musicality, trick steps, and a wide range of styles.
If you are unsure which level you should pick, please contact Colleen for advice!

What ages are welcome in class?
Tap classes are intended for ages 18+ . Students aged 15-17 may attend class with parent/guardian consent (please contact Colleen to request a permission form). I typically have a wide age range in my classes, with students in their teens up to their 60s!
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the class?
PUBLIC TRANSIT: The Arts & Business Campus is located directly beside the Drumcondra DART station, between the Centra and Quinns Pub. Serviced by Dublin Bus # 1, 11, 13, 16, 33, 41/b/c, and 44.
PARKING: The car park for the Arts & Business Campus is at the back of the building. From Drumcondra Road, turn onto the road between the train station and The Independent Pizza Company. Turn right into the first alley. The car park is a few gates down on the right, you'll see signs for Nellys Cafe and other businesses in the building. Parking is free for students.
Do I need my own tap shoes? What should I wear to class?
Students are expected to buy their own tap shoes, a basic pair costs about €30. If you would like to try a few classes before investing in tap shoes, I recommend wearing shoes with a smooth, non-rubbery sole, that has a separate heel and toe (like brogues, not flats). Dress comfortably, you'll work up a sweat! And bring a water bottle!
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Contact dance instructor Colleen by phone at 086-451-5833, or by email at email@example.com
I booked into the class, but now I can't go! Can I get a refund?
Course fees are fully refundable up until 26th April 2017.
I booked into the wrong class! What should I do?
Email Colleen at firstname.lastname@example.org and specify which class you actually want, and she will transfer your booking, provided the class is not full.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please either bring your printed ticket, or have it on your phone.
Can I attend class on a drop-in basis?
Priority entry goes to students purchasing the full course, however drop-ins are welcome when space is available. Drop-in rate is €15 per class (€10 for students/unwaged), cash only at the door. Feel free to contact Colleen for availability.
