Description

The Teddy Bear's Hospital promises to be an educational, interactive and fun day taking away fears children might have of hospitals by treating Teddy. Teddy will have his blood pressure and temperature taken and will be treated for minor surgery if necessary. All equipment used will be explained and shown to the children and they will be able to help with teddy's check-up. The nurses will also be on hand to show children how to properly change Teddy's nappy.

Other stations at the 'hospital' will include a hand washing station to teach children (and parents) how to properly wash their hands, a wound cleaning and bandaging station to teach children (and parents) how to clean and bandage cuts properly, a healthy eating station and a station with information on the importance of taking 10,000 steps per day.

Teddy will receive a Certificate of Full Health on passing his check-up.

This is sure to be a great family day out so we hope that you can join us in the Solas Building 3rd floor, IT Tralee, North Campus on Saturday, February 16th from 11am to 2pm. Please note that there will be a half hour slot from 10.30 to 11am for children with special needs. There is a maximum of 30 places per slot so it is important to book early.

This is a charity event and there will be buckets for donations on the day.
