THE BLOOD DONATION CHALLENGE - EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Join us for the launch of 'The Blood Donation Challenge' in association with the ITBS and an evening with Jim Gavin, Joe Brolly and more.
About this event
What is The Blood Donation Challenge?
With the assistance and backing of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, this project is an effort to get young, fit, athletic men and women to have a first hand input into the wellbeing of people in their own community and beyond.
Following this launch on April 3rd the Round Towers GAA Club in Kildare will host a blood donation clinic on the 16th. All members of the panel, who qualify to donate blood, will attend and give blood. In a project similar to the 'ice-bucket challenge' a few years ago, Round Towers GAA Club will then be nominating another GAA club in the country to take on the challenge who will in turn nominate another team and so on.
The aim is that the Blood Donation Challenge goes nationwide and becomes a continuous contributor of much needed supplies of blood to the IBTS on a long term ongoing basis.
Are you up for the challenge? Well come along to our launch on April 3rd and an evening with some of the biggest names in GAA. Event postponed until further notice.
