The Clara Rose Big Band
Overview
Clara Rose brings her Big Band to Arthur's Blues and Jazz Club on Saturday 17th January featuring The Greenhorns Brass trio. A night of blues originals and interpretations not to be missed!
For well over a decade, Clara Rose has captivated audiences with her stunning voice and original music that blends rockin' blues with rootsy folk. Having independently released her third live album, 'Live, LIVE, Love' to critical acclaim, Clara has graced national and international stages with her original folk, roots and powerhouse blues music. Armed with her acoustic guitar, Clara has shared stages with Celtic legends like The Horslips, Henry McCullough, The Waterboys, and Eleanor McEvoy. Her performances are nothing short of mesmerizing, with a voice that can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Her album releases have earned her national radio airplay, TV appearances, and nationwide tours solo and with her band. Clara Rose has graced some of Ireland's most iconic venues, including Whelan’s and Arthurs Blues & Jazz club, Dublin as well as Ireland’s top festivals from Rory Gallagher International Tribute festival, Monaghan Harvest Festival and Blues on the Bay, Warrenpoint. She was a key part of the stage show, 'Ladies in the Blues' playing hit shows at Cork Jazz Festival and Glastonbury as well as nationwide tours. "When it comes to female musicians, sometimes people focus on their looks and vocal prowess more than their instrumental skills, but Clara Rose delivers on all fronts... Her vibe is one part whiskey, one part roses, and one part Gaelic grit." (Blues Blast Magazine).
