On Thursday 6 October 12:45pm – 2pm in Central Library, Lady Lane.

Free Event with lunch included, but places are limited. Booking is essential.

  • Are you an SME or an entrepreneur with an idea but need funding?
  • Would you like access to major investors throughout Europe?
  • Would you like to find out about the new investment friendly environment with less red-tape for investors and entrepreneurs with good ideas?
  • Do you want to access support for Irish SMEs on how to benefit from the Plan

If the answer is yes, then don’t miss out on our Learn at Lunch time session on the EU investment with our key note speakers:

Patrick O’Riordan, European Semester Officer European Commission Representation in Ireland and Loretta O'Sullivan Chief economist with the Bank of Ireland

The Investment Plan for Europe aims to generate at least €315 billion of funding for projects in key strategic areas to get more people back to work and stimulating economic growth. The plan is already showing results, with around €50 billion of investment triggered during 2015, and dozens of Irish SMEs, start-up businesses set to benefit from the initiative.

The European Union recognises that there are plenty of great ideas that can create employment and generate growth but sourcing finance to get them off the ground can be a problem.

Nick Donnelly, Waterford Chamber CEO will close the proceedings summing up how this session can inform local businesspeople and concerned citizens and give them the tools to exploit available funding opportunities.
