A truly unique combination of the 50 piece Dublin Ukulele Collective (DUC), the wonderful voice of arguably Ireland’s best lyricist, Sean Millar, and Riley Stone-Lonergan, a saxophonist of rare talent.
The Dublin Ukulele Collective is a feel-good factor 50 piece ukulele band that range in age from 16 to 80+ and performs a diverse repertoire of songs which reflects this age span.
Sean Millar has been described by Hot Press as Ireland’s best “singer, song-doctor”. He has used music as part of his soc ial activism as a way to reach people and communities all over Dublin for over 20 years.
Hailed by editor of Jazzwise, Jon Newey, as “a Coltrane and Liebman-inspired hotshot who’s developing a sinewy soul-splattered sound of his own”, UK-based Irishman Riley Stone-Lonergan is a saxophonist of rare talent. He has made two extended trips to perform in New York City; he has worked overseas as a featured soloist at the Bergamo Jazz Festival in Italy, and has toured in Ireland, Germany, Poland and the UK.
