Event description
The Future of Finance is Fintech: Meet the movers and shakers, followed by Rugby World Cup preview with Jamie Heaslip

About this Event

The world of finance is being transformed by new players, using new technologies and new ways of engaging with borrowers. A wave of Crowdfunders, Peer-to-Peer Lenders and Alternative Funders have emerged to compete with traditional providers. What does this mean for the financial services industry in Ireland? How is the role of the bank changing and what are the implications for businesses and the economy as a whole?

To address these questions, the Fintech and Payments Association of Ireland (FPAI), in proud partnership with Flender, have assembled some of the industry's leading practitioners and thought leaders who will share experiences and perspectives on how Fintech can bring benefits to the world of Finance. We will also discuss prospects for the Irish economy as a whole as we teeter towards Brexit. Joining us will be:

Conall Mac Coille, Chief Economist, Davy

Andrea Reynolds, Founder and CEO, Swoop

Stephen McCarthy, Head of Sales, Bibby Financial services

Eoin Christian, Managing Director, Grenke Invoice Finance

Colin Canny, Head of Partnerships, Flender

We are also delighted to welcome Flender Brand Ambassador and Irish and Lions rugby legend Jamie Heaslip to the event. As the Rugby World Cup approaches, Jamie will share his thoughts on Ireland's chances!
