The Impact of Effective Performance Management
Tue 11 April 2017, 08:30 – 10:30 IST
‘Headline findings reveal that many HR professionals believe leaders in their organisation don’t have the behaviours and skills needed to get the best from their people. Their technical, financial and operational competence is high, but many leaders are deemed ineffective at performance management, people management and developing people’.
This is the key finding in the recently published Winter Outlook from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). The report identifies the leadership and management skills HR professionals believe are going to be most critical in the workplace over the next three years.
Top of the list of required skills is Performance Management. This can be a challenge in the current climate of economic uncertainty and globalisation. Customer demand is high, resources are limited, and we are asking our managers to be effective leaders and developers of people – often when they have had little training and development in this area themselves.
Our Breakfast Seminar will give you an insight into the following:
Managing performance within today's complex environment
Ways of maximising your existing performance
Resolution of poor performance
Support and encouragement of your line managers
Although this Seminar focuses on Performance Management, there will be an opportunity to find out more about the support our Business Skills Specialists can offer your organisation. This includes focused advice and training on leadership capability, people management for experienced and newly-appointed managers, and employee engagement and motivation.
Who should attend?
HR professionals and those who hold responsibility for people management and leadership development in their organisations.
* There is a limited amount of seats for this customer event so please book before 5pm on Friday the 7th of April to avoid disappointment.
