About this event

This June and July, Dublin City Council’s Historians-in-Residence and Dublin’s Historian-in-Residence for Children will participate in a series of public talks and events to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of the Irish Civil War.

Taking place in branches of Dublin City Libraries, talks by Dublin City Council’s Historians-in-Residence will cover two distinct periods of the war:

The Irish Civil War Part 1: From Treaty Talks to Fire at the Four Courts

The Irish Civil War Part 2: From Béal na Bláth to Arms Dump

Tickets for all events are free, but places are limited, so advance booking is recommended.

Pembroke Library is delighted to host two lectures by Cathy Scuffil Historian-in-Residence on Tuesday 7th of June and Tuesday 5th of July at 6.30pm.
